We are a credit union created by funeral directors for the funeral directing industry. Directors Choice Credit Union provides personalized financial services unique to the funeral directing profession.

Membership is open to any member in good standing, whether individual or business, including their employees and family members, of a national, state or local funeral service trade association. Livery companies associated with the funeral service profession and can demonstrate an ongoing business relationship with a member of such an association are also eligible to join.

Why Join DCCU?

Our staff is qualified. The founders of DCCU recognized that the funeral directing industry is unique, and therefore deserved to have a financial institution that understood its needs. Our staff is experienced in the financial needs that arise exclusive to the funeral industry.

We will work with you. The advantage of being a small credit union are that we can deliver individualized financial services for every member. We aim to be adaptable and accommodating to best serve your particular financial needs.

Our mission is focused. DCCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative sponsored by the Funeral Directors Support Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the New York State Funeral Directors Association. We exist to provide you with both personal and business services essential for financial opportunity and growth.

Every member is a shareholder. As a member, you will always have a say in how the credit union operates - you are considered an owner and will therefore help direct its operations. You will not only be eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders, but could serve on the Board as well.
